Hallöchen und willkommen zum Unboxing der FairyLoot Adult Book-Only Box. Dieses Mal nennt sich das Thema Kiss or Kill. Als ich das Thema gelesen und das Bild dazu (s. unten) gesehen habe, war ich Feuer und Flamme. Ich konnte es nicht erwarten.
Beim Unboxing war ich allerdings ein wenig enttäuscht. Nein, nicht vom Buch per se, aber dass das Theme Cover nicht wirklich zum Buchcover und Drumherum passt. Aber na gut, wollen wir uns davon mal nicht abschrecken lassen.

Oh, ich mag High Fantasy mit dem Ememies-to-Lovers Trope. Was mir dabei gefällt ist, dass die Romanze meist nicht zwingend der Mittelpunkt der Handlung ist, sondern die eigentliche Aufgabe der Protagonisten. Die oft gegen einen gefährlichen, unbekannten, mysteriösen Gegner in die Schlacht ziehen müssen.
Ich bin gespannt, welche Abenteuer Aya und Will bestehen müssen und wie sie sich annähern.
Trotz meiner anfänglichen Enttäuschung, was das Thema und die Coverart betrifft, gefällt mir die Aufmachung dieser FairyLoot Exclusive Edition super schön und in sich stimmig.

Würde dich das Buch interessieren? Die Bücher bisher konnten mich in jeden Fall überzeugen. Sowohl The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi als auch The Foxglove King waren ganz besondere Geschichten. Und im Readalong macht es gleich doppelt soviel Spaß.
