Die Tage werden langsam kürzer, die Abende dunkler und spätestens jetzt beginnt für mich die perfekte Zeit, um auch beim Lesen ein wenig tiefer in die düsteren Ecken meines Bücherregals abzutauchen. Scary Book Season 2026 kann also beginnen!

Horror ist ein Teilbereich der Phantastik, dessen zentrales ... More gewühlt und geschaut, welche ungelesenen Schätzchen sich noch auf meinem SuB verstecken. Und tatsächlich bin ich dabei auf einige ziemlich interessante Werke gestoßen, die hervorragend in die kommenden Wochen passen. Mal unheimlich, mal blutig, mal fantastisch-düster und vielleicht hier und da auch ein wenig verstörend.
Bis zum 31. Oktober dürfen es deshalb gerne Geschichten sein, bei denen Monster nicht unbedingt nur unter dem Bett lauern, die Dunkelheit ihre ganz eigenen Geheimnisse verbirgt und man sich vielleicht zweimal überlegt, ob man vor dem Schlafengehen wirklich noch ein Kapitel lesen sollte. 👻
Welche dieser Bücher ich tatsächlich vom SuB befreien werde, wird sich zeigen. Aber meine Auswahl für die Scary Book Season 2026 steht schon einmal bereit …

ich freue mich, dass du auch zu uns Schauer-Leser:innen stößt. 🙂 Das wird sicherlich ein ganz feiner Leseherbst.
„Frankenstein“ kenne ich und war damals sowas von der Geschichte überrascht. Ich hatte es mir ganz anders vorgestellt.
Auf „Last to Leave the Room“ bin ich besonders neugierig, was du dazu sagst. Ich habe von der Autorin „Der Tod der Jane Lawrence“ gelesen, was ich als gewöhnungsbedürftig aber recht interessant empfand. Dafür haben mir „Die leuchtenden Toten“ von ihr wirklich gut gefallen. Sie erzählt doch recht unkonventionelle Geschichten und das macht mich immer neugierig.
Ich wünsche dir eine schön-schaurige Lesezeit und vor allem ganz viel Spaß!
