First Lines Friday №90 | A Book Feature
First Lines Friday ist ein wöchentliches Feature für BuchliebhaberInnen, welches ursprünglich von Emma (Wandering Words) in der englischen Book Blogger Bubble veranstaltet wird. Nachdem ich bei Emma nachgefragt habe, darf ich dieses tolle Feature nun für den deutschsprachigen BuchbloggerInnen-Raum adaptieren und hosten. Ich freue mich. 😁
Ablauf:
- Wähle ein Buch aus deinem Regal (es könnte deine aktuelle Lektüre, ein Buch vom SuB oder ein bereits gelesenes sein) und öffnen die erste Seite
- Jetzt zitierst du die ersten paar Zeilen (5–10), aber gib noch nichts über dein Buch preis – die TeilnehmerInnen sollen erst einmal rätseln

Murder Road ist über die Evernight Box, die Horror/Thriller/Mystery – Box von Illumicrate, Anfang der Woche bei mir eingezogen. Ich hab zwar bereits von der Autorin Simone St. James gehört, aber bisher noch nichts von ihr gelesen. Die ersten Zeilen machen aber schon irgendwie Lust auf das Buch und der Schreibstil in diesen gefällt mir ganz gut.

Ohhh – Simone St. James – die schreibt netten Grusel mit Romantik. Da bin ich gespannt was du sagst. Das letzte, das ich hatte, war Der Geist von Maddy Clare. War nett. Aber die Lovestory war mir zu erzwungen.

Na, da bin ich ja gespannt, was Murder Road zu bieten. Du scheinst die Autorin ja zu kennen und ihr gegenüber auch nicht abgeneigt zu sein.
Ich sag immer, solange die Romantik nicht überhandnimmt, es sei den es ist eine reine Romance – Geschichte, dann komm ich mit dem Genre auch klar.
