Band 2 der Immortal Realms – Trilogie | Weekly Reading №135
Aus der letzten Woche konnte ich Seeds of Sorrow beenden. Diese lose Nacherzähung vom Hades & Persephone Mythos hat mir gut gefallen, da es auch nur leichte Anlehnung gab. Aber die Geschichte ihren ganz eigenen Pfad folgte.
Auch habe ich das Erzählungen Vol.1 von Edgar Allan Poe gehört. Doch hier werde ich die 3 Hörbücher abbrechen. Das liegt aber nicht an den Geschichten des Autors, sondern am Sprecher. Seine monotone Stimmlage hat mir bei eigentlichen Gothic/Horror – Geschichten null Gänsehaut beschert, dafür aber gähnende Langeweile. Furchtbar, wie man diese Klassiker so monoton lesen kann.

Das Buch ist verdammt gut. Doch da ich aktuell einigen ReziEx den Vortritt lasse, pausiert es für den Moment. Denn ich möchte mich mit einem klaren Kopf weiter in dieses Buch begeben. Das klappt aber nur, wenn ich nebenbei nicht andere Werke am Lesen habe.

Nach Seeds of Sorrow ist dies der zweite Band der Immortal Realms – Trilogie. Die Geschichte ist spannend aber von den Emotionen nicht ganz so tief, wie der Vorgänger. Aber es kann mich gut unterhalten.

Oh wie schade das du das Hörbuch Erzählungen Vol.1 von Edgar Allan Poe auf Grund des Sprechers abbrechen musstest, sowas ist immer ärgerlich, aber ich kann dich voll verstehen, nichts ist schlimmer als eine monotone Stimmlage.
Freut mivh zu lesen, das The Throne of Broken Gods so ein gutes Buch ist. Ich hoffe das du es dann bald weiter lesen und auch beenden kannst.Wünsche mit beiden Büchern noch tolle Lesestunde.

Hey Sheena,
also, das hast du wohl falsch verstanden. Ich hab das Hörbuch beendet, aber werde die anderen beiden nicht mehr hören, da hier der gleiche Sprecher am Werk ist. Und noch 2x je 12h diesem monotonen Einheitsbrei zuzuhören werde ich nicht aushalten. 😀
Die Schreib- und Ausdrucksweise von damals ist ja für uns heute schon recht schwer, aber Poe ist trotzdem heute noch ein Meister seines Faches. Dann nehm ich mir lieber noch einmal die Bücher zur Hand.
Throne of Broken Gods hat mit den ersten 20% schon wieder ordentlich was hingelegt und hier freue ich mich auch, wenn ich weitermachen kann. Aber die Immortal Realms Trilogie hat als ReziEx erst einmal Vorrang, und bisher können sie auch gut unterhalten. 🙂
