Aleshanee (Weltenwanderer) hat die neue Aktion CoverLiebe ins Leben gerufen. Einmal im Monat, immer am zweiten Montag, wird es diese Aktion geben.
Darüber freue ich mich sehr, da ich früher gerne beim Cover Monday mitgemacht habe.

*ein Klick auf das Bild öffnet es im Vordergrund
Heute zeige ich ein recht simples aber doch schönes Cover. Was mir hier besonders gut gefällt, dass der Fokus komplett auf der Axt liegt.
Und diese Axt sehr wahrscheinlich, die eines Henkers bzw. einer Henkerin, darstellen soll. Hier passt dann auch die blutverschmierte Klinge sehr gut.
Denn so passt es auch zum Inhalt des Buches, bei dem eine junge Frau in die Fußstapfen ihren Vaters treten muss und die Henkerin der Stadt ist.
Die Funken, die unterhalb bis zur Mitte hin, zu sehen sind, sind noch einmal ein toller Blickfang, die das doch düstere Bild ein wenig auflockern.
Sicher wird es einige geben, die sagen, dass der Titel hier sehr groß ist. Doch ich finde es recht passend gesetzt. Das Cover wirkt in keinster Weise überladen, stattdessen wird wirklich der Fokus auf des Objekt und den Titel gelegt. Hier brauchte es wirklich nicht viel, um mich anzusprechen.
All the Dark Souls, sowie die beiden Folgebände der gleichnamigen Trilogie habe ich letztes Jahr gelesen und war begeistert. Während der erste Band starke 4 Sterne ergattern konnte, hat die Autorin mit All the Blood Spilt und All the Kings Fall noch einmal ordentlich nachgelegt und konnte jeweils 5 Sterne von mir erhalten. Ich kann die Reihe jedem empfehlen, der Lust auf düstere Fantasy mit minimaler Romantik, dafür aber einer fesselnden Geschichte und einer starken Protagonistin hat! 🔥📖✨
Außerdem ist es für jene, die gerne auch mal auf Englisch lesen eine tolle Übung etwas besser zu werden und mit rund 200–220 Seiten pro Buch, sind die Bücher auch wirklich nicht sehr lang.

mh, also mein Lieblingscover wird das wohl nicht, aber ich finde es ok bzw. schon ansehnlich. Aber ich denke, hier werden wir in ein paar Monaten keine Übereinstimmung finden, so wie heute 😀 Ich hab gar nicht mehr gewusst, dass du das Cover schon mal dabei hattest, aber ich hab gerade nachgesehen, ich fand das Cover bei dir schon toll 😀
Aber zurück zum heuigen Cover: Vor allem die Funken gefallen mir gut. Die Axt ist an sich passend, ich mag es aber insgesamt ja lieber verspielter. Aber schön, dass es zum Klappentext passt.

irgendwie steh ich gerade auf dem Schlauch. Was meinst du mit dem Satz:
Wie bereits bei dir schon gesagt, ist es doch völlig in Ordnung, wenn du das Cover noch einmal vorstellst.
Ich bin ja nicht so der Typ, der es ZU verspielt mag. Aber so unterschiedlich sind eben die Geschmäcker. 😀

Ich mag minimalistische Cover auch oft ganz gerne! Der Hintergrund so komplett einfarbig schwarz ist mir da zwar ein bisschen „zu einfach“, aber das machen die verteilten Sprenkel dafür dann wieder wett.
Die Axt ist wirklich schön getroffen mit den Details und dass die Fortsetzungen dann genauso sind mit anderen Waffen bzw. dem Schild gefällt mir auch sehr! Beim Schild ist mir das Blut ein bisschen zu großflächig, und das Schwert ein bisschen zu viel ziseliert – soll heißen: die Axt gefällt mir am besten 🙂
Ein bisschen „muster“ im Schwarz hätte mir vielleicht aber auch noch einen Ticken besser gefallen. Nur ganz leicht, dass es kaum auffällt, als wäre es Samt oder Stoff oder sowas. Weißt du was ich meine?

ja, ich verstehe, was du meinst. Ein bisschen Textur hätte dort sein können. Aber, wie wir beide bereits sagen, die Funken sind ein guter Ausgleich.
Es ist wirklich gut, dass der Stil über die Trilogie hin beibehalten wurde. Und wenn man den zweiten Band gelesen hat, dann versteht man auch das viele Blut am Schild. 😉
