The Wheel of the Year 2026 | Reading Challenge

The table below can serve not only as a spiritual calendar, but also as a magical reading challenge.
Each row represents one of the eight Sabbats in the Wheel of the YearSamhain, Yule, Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lammas, and Mabon.

The idea:
For each Sabbat, choose one book that connects to any aspect of that row —
it doesn’t matter which column inspires you:

  • Maybe you pick a book that fits the themes or magick of the festival,
  • or one that reflects the season,
  • or one that carries the same element or energy.

Throughout the year, you’ll create a literary journey through the Witch’s Wheel—from new beginnings at Samhain to the harvest and balance of Mabon. (It does not need to be read in order, as this would then extend to the year 2027.)
Whether it’s fantasy, mythology, romance, or nonfiction, let the energy of the seasons guide your reading. 🌕📚
Only a small rule I have, please mark for each sabbat which column fits the read book. 🧙🏼

The challenge goes from Jan 01, 2026–Dec 31, 2026. Entry into the challenge is possible at any time.
