A Riveting Continuation of a Captivating Saga — The Ever Queen Shines Bright!

LJ Andrews has once again demonstrated the excellence of fantasy with The Ever Queen, the second volume of the enthralling The Ever Seas series. As a passionate fan of the first book, I couldn’t wait to return to the wonderful world she’d painstakingly created, and I wasn’t disappointed.

The Songbird:
Captive. Challenger. Queen.

Enemies took her from the man who holds her heart. They might see her as weak, as a pawn in wicked games, but they’re no match for the first Ever Queen.

Let them think they’ve won. Her heart belongs to a beautiful monster, and she will never stop fighting until she’s back in his arms.

The Serpent:
Captor. Villain. King.

His enemies stole the woman who claimed his soul. They betrayed him out of greed and desire for the crown, but they won't die for that betrayal. No.

They’ll die for touching her.

His heart belongs to a stunning little bird. He will never stop searching for her light across the skies. Not until the blood of his enemies spills at her feet, and his queen wears their bones around her neck.

Welcome back to the world of the Ever Kingdom where pirates collide with Vikings in passionate romance, brutal battles, and an unforgettable dark fantasy world. This book concludes the love story between Erik and Livia, but new, standalone romances with other favorite characters will continue to build the world. Readers are encouraged to check the TW inside the book for their reading comfort.

The Ever Queen ♦ LJ Andrews

A Review

Opinion

The seamless continuation of the events in the first book was executed beautifully. Andrews makes sure that readers who have read the first book in a while are gently reminded of the intricate plot lines with a careful overview at the start. This caring touch immediately reignites the enthusiasm and immersion in Ever’s universe.

At the beginning of this tale lies the perilous journey of our FMC, Livia, who finds herself ensnared in the clutches of Erik’s brutal and bitter rival for the crown of the Kingdom of Ever. The stakes are higher, the dangers more menacing, and the mysteries more tantalizing than ever before.

What genuinely distinguishes The Ever Queen is Andrews‚ excellent narrative. The story progresses from alternating perspectives, diving deeply into the stormy emotions of both main protagonists. This storytelling approach not only adds layers of depth to the story, but it also allowed meto gain a greater grasp of the protagonists‘ inner struggles and outcomes.

The book’s exciting twists and pulse-pounding action scenes will delight action lovers. Andrews brilliantly maintains a riveting pace, ensuring that every page is full of tension and thrill.
One of the highlights for me was the climactic battle that took place in the final quarter of the novel. Compared to other fantasy works where the main battles feel rushed, Andrews dedicates sufficient space to this crucial event, allowing me to soak up every exhilarating moment.

And just when I thought I’ve caught my breath, Andrews delivers a jaw-dropping ending that left me clamoring for more. The subtle cliffhanger is a stroke of brilliance, perfectly setting the stage for the next standalone installment, while leaving me eagerly anticipating what lies ahead.

Conclusion

In the end, The Ever Queen is a triumphant extension of an already fascinating tale. LJ Andrews‚ unmatched writing abilities, combined with her beautifully created world and nuanced characters, make this a must-read for fantasy lovers throughout. I eagerly await the upcoming standalone installment, in which a prior supporting character takes center role, promising another extraordinary adventure through the Kingdom of Ever. Thank you, LJ Andrews, for another five-star masterpiece!
